If you are considering buying a lift chair from All-Star Medical but the question of how to get it home is keeping you from committing, you can rest easy. We offer several different delivery options that we will cover in detail for you here.
Curbside Delivery
Curbside Delivery is free delivery where the freight company will bring the lift chair to your house and place it at a location determined by a few factors. These include the length of your driveway and whether the freight truck can easily maneuver in your subdivision or area. The chair will be delivered outside your house, potentially at your doorstep or in your driveway.
This type of delivery is ideal if there is someone available to help you bring the lift chair from its delivery location into your house. Since the chair is left at the curb, you’ll need help to move it inside. This option is free but requires additional effort on your part to get the chair indoors.
Front Door Delivery
Front Door Delivery is an option that allows the lift chair to be brought inside your house, provided that the door frame is wide enough to accommodate the lift chair box. Most lift chair boxes have dimensions between 39 and 45 inches in width. Therefore, before choosing this option, you should measure and ensure that the door frame’s width can accommodate the box.
With Front Door Delivery, the lift chair box will be brought to your front door or entrance. This option is more convenient than Curbside Delivery because the box is placed closer to your house. However, you still need to handle the process of getting the lift chair from the entrance to its final placement within your home.
White Glove or Platinum Delivery
All-Star Medical carries two of the top brands of lift chairs, Pride and Golden Technologies. They each make quality lift chairs that will last you for years and offer top-tier delivery service. Pride’s Platinum service and Goldens White Glove service are our premium delivery options that offer a more comprehensive service. When you choose this option for your delivery, an All-Star Medical employee will come to your home, bring the lift chair inside, and set it up exactly where you want it. This includes placement within the room and any required assembly.
There are some restrictions associated with Platinum/White Glove Delivery. For instance, it’s generally limited to delivery on the first floor of your home and might not include bringing the chair to the second floor. If you’re uncertain about the details, the recommendation is to contact All-Star Medical to get answers to your questions.
Lift chairs are heavy and unless you have reliable help to get your box inside your home and correctly assemble your chair, you may want to select the White Glove option. It is also in your best interest to take a moment time to measure the door frames for each door that the chair will have to pass through. Some lift chairs come in two separate pieces and with Platinum/White Glove delivery, the deliveryman can move each piece separately if the doorways are too narrow, avoiding any damage to your door frames. They will also be able to connect the two pieces together, ensuring your chair is constructed and working properly.
