When buying a lift chair there are a couple of things to think about before purchasing. At All Star Medical we will help you through the process and get you or a loved one in the right chair. Below are a few tips.
Take Measurements
If you like your current chair and would like to get a lift chair similar to the same size, measure it. You need to know the width between the arms, the height from the seat to the top of the chair, the seat to the floor, and the overall width of the chair.
Benefits of the chair
Not only does the lift chair raise up, but most all of them recline. Some even go into a Trendelburg position which means your heart is below your feet which helps with many things including swelling of the feet and lower legs.
Improving Mobility
Lift chairs can help you get in and out of chairs easier which give you the ability to be more active. Don’t forget that you can always just raise the chair a little and then get out of it, you don’t have to raise the chair up all the way.
Fabric options
All Star Medical has fabric options available in our stores so you can take home and match up with the other furniture in your home. When you click on the lift chair page, choose a chair and then click on the fabric to find out the name and price of the fabric. Some of the fabrics are included in the cost of the chair while others cost more.
