Don’t worry. Stair Lifts almost always fit. This is one of the biggest misconceptions about stair lifts. Stair lifts are mounted on the staircase, not the wall. You typically have around four brackets that mount to your stairs.

What type of seats are available on a stair lift?
Some of the manufacturers make a wide seat and they also have a Heavy Duty model. The standard weight for most Stair Lifts are 300 LBS, then they go to 350 LBS to 600 LBS.
